Well the AGM was a long one but not as long as it could have been with what we had to discuss and sort out.

Thank you all for your time in attending the meeting as it is a very important process in running the club.

All to often we can get complacent about organising things as a matter of rote but something like this last meeting makes us all remember what we are there for.

There was plenty to sort including remedial work on the constitution to bring it up to date and this went rather painlessly.

The proposals were many and most of them had ammendments to them prior to the vote being taken on the initial proposal, always a difficult scenario to get your head round at the best of times.

Nominations for office were sorted in a friendly manner and sees the arrival of new faces onto the committee, welcome to you all and I hope that the new ideas we have discussed will prove to be succesful.

As Richard takes over from Mike as secretary there will obviously be a period where Richard finds his feet so please be gentle with him?

Mike has stated that he will post the AGM Minutes as soon as he can as his last duty as secretary (Thanks Mike I'll email you my report on Monday as its on my Works PC)

So Thanks to al those outgoiung officers and welcome to the new victims on the committee !

Just a quick reminder as the other thread got moved.

The Annual General Meeting of SDMCC will take place on the 27th September at 19:00 (7pm) in the gym at Townhill.
There will be much to discuss and the usual election of officers will take place as normal.
